Comet Lulin, the photograph was taken at Ankara University Observatory

During the past 40 years Ankara University Observatory has played a very important role in the development of astronomy in Türkiye. As it is providing data on international level for scientific researches it has also opened its doors for people interested in Astronomy. For people or institutions that are interested in astronomy public days, observation fests and educational events are held throughout the year. All of the events are organized by professional astronoms and Ankara University Astronomy Research Group (ASART)’s students.
